Tyler Perry's: "I Can Do Bad All By Myself"- A Must See!!!

Once again, Tyler Perry sends his audience on an emotional roller coaster with his stage play turned movie I Can Do Bad All By Myself. The all-star cast certainly took this film to a level that none of his previous endeavors had reached.

Taraji P. Henson (known from her role as the lead actress in Baby Boy) and Adam Rodriguez (CSI: Miami actor) team up with three major recording artists: Gladys Knight, Marvin Winans and none other than Mary J. Blige to perform in a film that can only be described as a riveting, thought-provoking and inspirational.

April, played by Henson, is a scarred woman who doesn't know how to love herself or others. She drinks and smokes incessantly and she is sleeping with a married man (need I say more?). Perry revolves the plot around April's life, which comes to a screeching halt when Madea (Perry) shows up on her doorstep with three kids (her dead sister's daughter and two sons).

Sandino, (Rodriguez character) is a humble Columbian man who shows up at a local church seeking refuge. He is advised by the pastor (Marvin Winans) and first lady (Gladys Knight) to trade his handy-man services for room and board at April's house, which definitely needs a little TLC. Sandino immediately takes a liking to April's niece and nephews and tries to piece their broken lives back together again.

Tanya (Mary J. Blige), April's friend and crooning barkeep at the lounge where she works, is a great identifier of what a true friend is supposed to be. She tries her best to keep April grounded while being a constant source of support and love.

Like any Tyler Perry movie, the characters go through a series of dramatic and climactic events which lead to enlightenment of self and of the world around them.

This film is a must see because of the powerful song ballads, decent (not great) acting, and magnificent story line that leaves you feeling a sense of fulfillment and personal triumph in matters of the heart.

You have got to get into this people...It's Fun for crying out loud!

Formidable Opponent: The Razor Bump...ugh...

Hi Hi.

So I figured I'd write a blog dedicated to guys who have problems with those nasty, disgusting, embarrassing razor bumps.

Razor bumps form when freshly shaved hair grows back into the skin. They form hurtful bumps, rashes, and redness (and are a complete turn off).

I'll list a technique that's work for me- hopefully others can benefit from this (or if you know someone who suffers from this, you can pass it along).

Let's begin by making a grocery list- here's what you'll need:

1.) Single or double-bladed razor (no more blades than 2) $5-8

2.) Thick shaving GEL not cream... preferably Gillete- sensitive skin $7-12

3.) Face cloth *you should have this- if not SHAME ON YOU* $2-5

4.) Skin Tight/ Tend Skin $11-15

5.) Aftershave lotion $3-7

6.) Daily Face cleanser- i use Biore ... $7-10 some are cheaper and some are more expensive

Let's start the process:

While in the shower, I wash my face with the cleanser.

I let the hot/warm water fall on my face for a while to open up my pores.

I pat my face, careful not to completely dry it.

I apply my shaving gel..generously.

I shave with the grain once. If I miss any spots I come to it after I've finished my whole face (ONCE)

After hitting any spot that I missed, I rinse my face in cold water and pat dry.

I apply Skin Tight or Tend Skin and let dry for about 5 minutes.

Afterwards, I apply aftershave lotion.

Then I look Fabulous...^_^

The face towel is if you opt not to take a shower and  just apply hot water to it and let it soak on your face instead of showering...

***NOTICE*** This took way too long to write because I'm watching Teen Jeopardy..it's sooooo Good..and I got two answers right so far..hehehe...
